New owl square
Finally got one done that I am happy with. Still have some fine tuning to do to it but all in all I think this is a good representation of my square. I planned to have them all sent out by the mid of May. Keep my fingers crossed because these take longer that I thought. Will be needing to go another trip to Joanns for more tree fabric and I think a darker border. Maybe new thread too. Anyway hope you like the square:)
Happy sewing all!

Traci's other choices:)
I really loved these squares that Traci did and wanted to share them with you (she gave me permission) I think she is looking at other material but I really like these and wanted to show them off for her since I know she wouldn't herself. I love the color combo and the trees:) In fact I might be stealing her material idea in the future and making a quilt inspired by this. Way to go Traci:)
If any of you ladies have have squares you made and didn't want to post please do...it's all about the learning and sharing. I'm already on my third prototype for my square and am now rethinking all of my choices:( We'll see.
Sew on my friends!

Progress
All 60 of the flowers are now cut, bonded and ready to be ironed on to my squares...that still need to be cut out. One flower to represent each member of my family. The gray background material is just like the uniforms Travis wears each and every weekday. I plan to piece them next week and do some sewing...do I really have to sew? So far I've gotten away with it. :)

Ms. Shalini's Square
I love the color contrast on this square, the green is the perfect touch. Don't you think that this square just screams Shalini? I do, I would known it from a mile away:) I think as a group we've gotten a great start to a fab quilt:)
Looking forward to many more squares and quilts in our future ladies!!!

Traci's square:)
You ladies are going to be so proud of Traci's square:) I love it and am so impressed with her taking this on for her first square. This is not her finished project and I can't wait to see it:)
